Your Responsibilities
As a construction manager, you’ll keep everything running smoothly on the job site and ensure that plans become real buildings:
- Managing the construction process: You’ll coordinate and monitor the entire construction process with an eye on costs, deadlines, and quality.
- Ensuring quality: You inspect materials and workmanship according to applicable standards and regulations and follow up if something isn’t right.
- Managing subcontractors: You’ll be the main point of contact for subcontractors and suppliers—from construction meetings to invoice review.
- Solving problems: When things get out of hand on the job site, you quickly find a pragmatic solution—without taking long detours.
- Ensuring safety: As the responsible site manager, you are accountable for a safe construction site and lead by example every day.
Your Profile
You have firsthand experience in the construction industry and know how to get things done on a construction site:
- Completed technical training or a degree in civil engineering—preferably supplemented by several years of experience in construction management
- Solid knowledge of the VOB (German Construction Contract Conditions), construction law, and quality management
- Clear, assertive communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and your own team
- A structured approach to work, the ability to handle pressure, and a focus on what matters most—even when things get hectic on the job site
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively during the week
