Construction Manager (m/f/d) – Building Refurbishment
LIST BiB is one of the general contractors within the List Gruppe. Our specialty: We perform building refurbishment. In this way, outdated and often long-vacant sites are transformed into new hubs. When specialists are needed—for example, in digital building inventory, planning services, or sustainability consulting—we bring them in from other LIST companies.
The List Gruppe comprises several general contractors as well as development, consulting, and planning firms with a total of over 800 employees. As a full-service provider, we develop, plan, build, and revitalize real estate throughout Germany. Everything we do is focused on offering better real estate. We place a high priority on sustainability and digitalization!
A hallmark of LIST is treating everyone as equals—our hierarchies are flat, and there’s no such thing as “you” versus “us.” We encourage open, interdisciplinary collaboration among colleagues, and we believe there are no silly questions. We consistently receive top ratings in employer evaluations and have been recognized as a “TOP Company” by kununu for years.
Join Team LIST and help us revitalize better properties!
Your Responsibilities
As a construction manager, you’ll pull everything together on the job site and ensure that plans turn into real buildings:
- Managing the construction process: You’ll coordinate and monitor the entire construction process with an eye on costs, deadlines, and quality.
- Ensuring quality: You inspect materials and workmanship according to applicable standards and regulations and follow up if something isn’t right.
- Managing subcontractors: You’ll be the main point of contact for subcontractors and suppliers—from construction meetings to invoice review.
- Solving problems: When things get out of hand on the construction site, you quickly find a pragmatic solution—without beating around the bush.
- Ensuring safety: As the responsible site manager, you’re accountable for a safe construction site and lead by example every day.
Your Profile
You have firsthand experience in the construction industry and know how to really get things done on a construction site:
- Completed technical training or a degree in civil engineering—preferably supplemented by several years of experience in construction management, ideally with experience in renovation projects
- Solid knowledge of VOB, building codes, and quality management
- Clear, authoritative communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and your own team
- A structured approach to work, the ability to handle pressure, and a focus on what matters most—even when things get hectic on the job site
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively during the week
In existing building projects, customized solutions are essential—get involved and work with project and site management to bring large-scale projects to life. What matters to us is substance, team spirit, and the joy of reliably seeing projects through to completion. If you enjoy being outdoors, making decisions, and prefer to plan schedules two weeks in advance rather than playing catch-up, you’ve come to the right place.
