You’ll take the lead of our Structural Engineering Department—with responsibility, creative freedom, and a team that supports you. Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Leading the department: You’ll provide technical and managerial leadership for the structural engineering department, actively develop your team, and proactively manage capacity and budgets.
• Overseeing structural engineering: You’ll manage challenging construction projects across all project phases—with a particular focus on precast concrete structures.
• Ensuring quality: You prioritize projects, maintain an overview, and ensure consistently high-quality design work within the department.
• Further developing standards: You actively drive the further development of design processes, standards, and BIM-supported work methods.
• Coordinating and representing: You’ll work closely with our in-house departments of architecture, building services engineering, and civil engineering, as well as with external specialist planners—and represent the department in dealings with LIST construction companies, clients, inspection engineers, and government agencies.

You know structural engineering inside and out—and now you want to do more than just crunch numbers. With these qualifications, you’re exactly the right fit for us:

• A completed degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering or structural design
• At least five years of professional experience in structural engineering, ideally with a focus on industrial construction and precast structures; experience with precast concrete plants and/or general contractors is a plus
• Initial experience in the technical or disciplinary leadership of teams—or a clear willingness to take this step
• Very good knowledge of standards, proficiency with structural analysis and CAD software, and experience with BIM-supported design processes are desirable
• Strong communication skills, a confident demeanor, and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work—even when multiple projects are running simultaneously
